Offie Soldin, Ph.D., MBA, is an associate Professor of Medicine and Oncology at Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC) and has considerable expertise in maternal-fetal research, drugs in pregnancy and the effects of xenobiotics on maternal health. She has trained in reproductive immunology and endocrinology, assisted reproductive techniques and cancer pathology. Dr. Soldin’s clinical research spans several topical areas including the effects of environmental and drug exposures in women and during pregnancy, sex-differences in pharmacokinetics and maternal adverse drug effects. She has experience in working with government institutions, military, the aerospace industry and pharmaceutical industry. In that capacity she conducted epidemiological studies on health effects from exposures to chemicals in the environment including case-control studies of childhood diseases such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and cancer.
