laboratories. Six core laboratories in the CSD
include an Animal Core, Hormone Assay Core,
Protein Expression Core, Molecular Biology
Core, Bioinformatics and Proteomics Core and
a Histology and Microscopy Core. These core
laboratories will save investigators time and
money and promote multi-interdisciplinary
research;
A monthly
seminar series with nationally recognized
speakers in women's health research and
sex-based biology;
A workshop
with nationally recognized speakers in women's
health research and sex-based biomedical
research;
A yearly
retreat for CSD faculty and interested
students and fellows;
A small
grants program to encourage pilot research
studies and multi-investigator project
development.
